Gelert Ltd are proud to support and sponsor the National Camping and Caravanning Week 2011. ‘NCCW’ from The Camping and Caravanning Club is a celebration of the nation’s growing love of camping, caravanning and the great outdoors and runs from May 30th to June 5th 2011.

As part of the NCCW, Saturday 4th June sees The Big Pitch.

The whole country has been invited to spend a night camping. The Camping and Caravanning Club believes camping makes you richer. Richer in mind, body and soul. It’s about the sense of freedom you get from having the stars over your head and grass between your toes. It’s your chance to go fishing with the kids, to try swimming with your partner, to cook a barbecue with the whole family, or to try camping for the very first time.
The Big Pitch takes place wherever you like. Your back garden, your local park, the woods, the hills, the coast… any place you’ve got permission to pitch up is a great place to set up camp.

Gelert are also pleased to be sponsoring the Children’s drawing Competition on the night of The Big Pitch.

They could win one of the great camping prizes kindly provided by Gelert by drawing what they are doing on the night of The Big Pitch. There are three age categories, under 5s, under 10s and under 15s, each with a 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize.

To enter the competition all they need to do is post the drawing, reflecting their camping experience, with their name, age, address, telephone number and where they camped to:
