eVent fabric is created using a patented eVent fabric membrane, which consists of millions of tiny pores that breath and rapidly direct sweat out of the fabric. Gelert uses thsi even fabric on its footwear range to help keep your feet comfortable on long walks especially in wet weather.

Gelert uses Thinsulate Insulation in its hats and gloves to give you greater protection from the cold when you need it. It works by trapping air between the microfibres of the fabric, the more air that is trapped the more insulating the fabric. This is why Thinsulate insulation is made up of far finer fibres than traditional synthetic fabric, they trap more air in a much smaller space.
